My Approach and Training

I am a registered clinical social worker with two decades of experience specializing in children’s mental health. I completed my Master of Social Work at Wilfrid Laurier University and am registered with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers. I have practiced social work in many different settings such as community agencies, hospitals, and schools.  My extensive work history includes Chatham-Kent Children’s Services, Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Family Services Windsor Essex, and Children First. More recently, I served as the Mental Health Lead for the Windsor-Essex Catholic District School Board. 

I am trained in a wide range of therapeutic approaches, including:

  • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Narrative Therapy

  • Solution-Focused and Motivational Interviewing

  • Exposure and Trauma-Informed Therapy

  • Play-Based Therapy and Mindfulness Practices

  • Collaborative Problem Solving®

I have also received training for Circle of Security® and The Incredible Years® parenting groups, and I bring extensive experience in crisis intervention, suicide prevention, and life promotion.
