My Approach and Training
I am a Registered Psychotherapist (RP) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) and a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC) with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA). I have a Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology from the University of Ottawa.
I provide psychotherapy to children, youth, and young adults, and have supported concerns such as: anxiety, depression, trauma, friendship or family worries, life transitions, and other challenges that may impact emotional well-being.
Whether you are seeking support for yourself or your child, I strive to create a warm and welcoming space where each person feels comfortable being themselves, respected, understood, and empowered.
My approach is collaborative and trauma-informed, grounded in the belief that therapy is most effective when it is tailored to each person’s unique needs and experiences. I believe meaningful change begins with a strong therapeutic relationship, and I work alongside individuals to build on their strengths and work toward goals that feel meaningful and achievable.
I draw from a variety of therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT), Collaborative Problem Solving (CPS), Traumatic Incident Reduction (TIR), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). I integrate these approaches based on individual needs, experiences, and goals.
I aim to meet each person where they are, helping them gain a greater understanding of themselves and their experiences, and develop practical tools to support their well-being.
Starting therapy can feel like a vulnerable step. My goal is to create a safe and supportive space while helping you move toward meaningful change.
I look forward to working with you and supporting you along the way.
