My Approach and Training
Welcome to a safe and supportive place for children, youth, and families to begin healing and build resilience to emotional struggles and life pressures!
I am a Registered Psychotherapist with nine years of experience supporting children, youth, and their families in various clinical settings, most recently providing support to high-risk youth enrolled in a Day Treatment Program for concerns around school avoidance /underachievement, anxiety, depression, stress management, emotional dysregulation, substance misuse, and trauma.
I graduated with an Honours Degree in Developmental Psychology from the University of Windsor and I hold a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University. My work is grounded in evidence-based modalities including:
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
Trauma-Focused CBT, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT)
Motivational Interviewing, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
I am also trained in ASIST
(Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training)
providing mental health crisis intervention and safety planning.
